The Shannon Air Museum exists to preserve and share the story of flight—from God's creation and mankind's God-given dominion over it, through the birth of aviation with the Wright Brothers, the Golden Age of Flight, and the innovations that continue to shape our world—so that every generation is inspired to dream, create, innovate, and pursue lives of purpose, character, and discovery.
Through the Genesis of Flight Experience, one of the world's premier collections of Wright Brothers aircraft and artifacts, historic aircraft spanning the Golden Age of Flight, immersive exhibits, and educational programs, we connect the past with the future by helping young people discover that the same spirit of curiosity, perseverance, and creativity that transformed aviation can also transform their own lives and the world around them.
-Luke Curtas, President
The heart of Shannon Air Museum has always been about more than preserving historic aircraft. Our mission is to preserve aviation's remarkable legacy while inspiring future generations to discover the creativity, purpose, and potential God has placed within them.
The presentation below shares the vision that has guided our organization for many years and the foundation upon which our educational programs, the Genesis of Flight Experience, and our future initiatives continue to grow.
This presentation was originally produced in 2023. While our organization has grown significantly since then, the mission and vision it shares remain at the heart of everything we do. An updated presentation reflecting our latest progress is currently in development.
